Welcome to my She Shed.
I have a lot of clients, family and friends ask me about my office. It was once a shed. My husband turned it into an office for me when I had my property management business (I gave that business to my daughter over six years ago) and now use it for for a place of creativity where I can get lost and play. I enjoy my mixed-media art, creative journals, junk journals, and planners.
My office is filled with lots of stuff such as art, supplies, books, crystals, computer, and I even have a TV (for all those YouTube videos or paranormal shows I like to watch!) From time to time, I do rearrange and clear it out. I thought I would provide a few tips if you would like to create your very own she shed.
Having a beautiful, organized and clean office daily helps me to be more productive. I hope these simple steps will help you in your office or she shed.
Sending love & light!

- Surround yourself with beautiful items. I am a visual person so I add colors and photos that I like to look at daily. I have personal photos and clippings from various magazines that I add to my vision board. Check out my Vision Board Planner.
- Label items. I use every available space in my office but my office is extremely organized. The majority of the items in my office is labeled. Not only for the benefit of my assistants (and husband) but for me as well. For someone who re-organizes frequently it makes it easier to find things quickly.
- Re-organize when needed. When you are working and you find that you are interrupted easily, or you have to sort through and find items you need for your project then re-organize your office to assist you with your time management flow. When I am preparing for the following week I will always take the time to re-organize what isn't working for me.
- Organize in groups. I run a few different businesses so I group my the materials I need in a specific place. My women's group marketing supplies are in one area where my coaching marketing supplies are in another.
- Clean your desk daily. When you are done for the day make sure your desk area is cleaned off and materials are put away. Beginning your day with a clean office will put you in the right mindset to be productive. **Now side note here. To be honest there are days when I am in creating a project like my traveler's notebook memory keeping and I have run out of steam. So I will leave my desk area/office a mess however, I can't leave it messy too long or I find that I will avoid my office!
- Purge! Take the time weekly or monthly and get rid of anything in your office that you are not using or haven't used over a year. Clutter can pile up very easy especially when you are busy and working from home.
- Make it fun! Life is too short not to love the life you have. It's your space, make it fun!
Having a beautiful, organized and clean office daily helps me to be more productive. I hope these simple steps will help you in your office or she shed.
